First, stop and take an inventory of your employee surroundings:
- What is the first impression when arriving at work?
- Where do they eat lunch?
- Is there a view outside?
- How motivating or relaxing are the breakrooms?
- How clean is the bathroom?
- What about their workspace?
Now that you have an inventory of your employee surroundings, it is time to make a plan to deal with those issues.
Second, address training needs.
Saying you have work-life balance and truly addressing work-life issues are different. When was the last time you talked with your employees to learn about their stress at home? Do you bring in speakers that address those stress points to increase employee results?
